    Wizards #1

Every member of my team, THE Washington Wizards, should clip out the standings from today's paper. At 10-5 they hold the best record in the entire Eastern Conference. Okay there are 5 teams in the West with better records, but if the regular season ended now, they'd have home court until the finals (Not that that's worth much, half the crowd at MCI roots for the other team, especially the Celts, Sixeres, and Knicks). But its a day to celebrate and there haven't been many, not since Wes Unseld and Elvin Hayes played here (For you youngsters that was the Cretaceous Period, when shorts were short and players still made mid range jump shots).

Its good that they are doing well - but I don't think it will really last. When I checked a few days ago, they really hadn't beaten too many good teams.

The Wizards sure have played well --- but, it's much too early

plenty of time left to foul up, or run away with the division
