Thumbs down 2010 Eclipse preview thought!

I think everyone should save their $$$ on this product as well. It is just like last years stuff.

It has left over ru from 2010pp, name swatches with one letter low printed. (They dont even give us a chance as a fan or collector.) They have the insint win cards wich are nice but most of them are not even in the book. And that is even hit or miss. $120 a box is not worth it.

Press Pass needs to mix it up a bit and make Eclipse stand out. So far this year I havent been impressed with anything and I dont stand alone.

If you guy and gals have some good input on what Press Pass can do to improve as far as race used cards go or even a theam post it hear. I am sure our good buddies are loking at this.

Press Pass, I love ya but pick it up. 09 was by far the best year for you guys. I thought we were going forward not backwards.

They are putting the same stuff in. I saw they are putting more burning rubber cards.

Yeah..they do that for the Chase races. While they are printing the cards, the drivers are still turning laps. I have a Biffle from Loudon...says Eclipse.

Still they have those stupid letter cards that only a couple of people can get the set and spell it out...

Atleast you get a decent amount of hits in this, but of course they jack the price up...

How come a $80 football box can get you 4 hits (usually 1 auto and 3 memorabilia) and a $80 NASCAR box get you (1 auto 1 memorabilia). NASCAR has so many things they can use (car covers, suits, sheetmetal, tires, hats, etc, etc...) and football can still out do them.

I like to buy NASCAR but its just getting old buying it when it doesn't compare for the bang for the buck you get in other sports.

I agree with you 100%. If you guys dont like this thread, you will all find out like you did with the Element boxes. If you ask me Eclipse are just fillers.

I understand your point but when is the last time you saw a $5 race-used card? I'll take the 2 hits at $80 and make at least half back If I sold them over the 4 hits at $80 and only make 1/4 back if that.

I don't do much football but it doesn't take much research to see that NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL cards are very similar price wise in the after market. NASCAR has it's lower end cards too but even base R/U still book way better than the other sports.

just for example around $80 box Donruss Threads Jersey Common Player $4
Wheels American Thunder also around $80 a box not one memorabilia card under $12.

If you guys are buying boxes to make $$$ then your doing it for all the wrong reasons. A true fan doesnt care how much their fav. driver cards book for as long as they have one is all that matters. That is why there are sites like this one to trade. But even that gets way to hard at times. It is people like you that make it hard being a fan of a top driver. But I guess that is the way the cookie crumbles................

I'm not in it to make money
I was just pointing out the fact that racing boxes give more value than football, for a comparably priced product.

Oh sure you get more "hits" in stick and ball sports, but NASCAR is still king when it comes to getting top flight hits.

Last time I opened any amount of NHL cards (2006-07) out of 6 boxes I got 3 cards of STAR players (other than base and low end inserts) Any time I buy a box of NASCAR I get at least 3 higher end cards of top drivers.
