I'd probably go with SP Authentic, can't go wrong with 3 hard signed auto's per box, plus I'd rather get common auto's than common jerseys and rookies, which is what you seem to get a lot of in other higher end products like SPGU and Trilogy.

    SPA!!!!

    SPA!!!!

or screw it...my idea is this...I never buy cards anymore! never AGAIN! WASTE OF MONEY! TRULY IS! KICK ME DOWN ALL YOU WANT ANYBODY, BUSTING WAX IS LIKE SPENDING ALL YOUR PAY CHEQUE ON CASH FOR LIFE TICKETS...YOU SPEND $2000 AND GET BACK $400 IN WINNINGS!

THE only PRODUCT i ADMIT TO WANTING TO BUY FOR GOOD REASON ( I AM YET TOO) IS THE CUP!
SUPER HIGH DEMAND, HIGH QUALITY (NOT THE CARDS BUT the athlestes that sign), there are no, no-names in there...and people actually pay for these cards (singles), and give up great trade bait for 1 card...
I have watched sine 2006! this year, I am NOT buying anything! I save it for the cup!

last year I spent well over $7000 on wax....got some nice cards, but seriously what do you think I could have with $6000 even of the cup!

that is 2.5 cases or 14 tins approx!

gotta get some nice hits for return on that, cash or trade bait!

just my opinion though!!! have a good one

i'll give my vote with majority on the 06-07 H&P, i mean a decent complete logo will pay for half the case alone

just as an example, 07-08 complete logo of TLUSTY, sold for over 150$US

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/08-ITG-Heroes-Pro...item2a040258d4

so imagine pulling a star player? 300 - 400$ easy, theres half or more of case payed for, plus all the other nice things, like the tavares /10 usually all sell for 100$ or so (i sold an emblem /10 from that set for 125$USdlvd)

So definetly for the price, it is worth it

    my 2 cents!

I don't know about that, I've seen, and bought quite a few cup cards on ebay for less than $10, including a few Rookie Patch Auto's, and other Rookie Autographs. I also don't agree with the fact that it's all big time star players, personally, and I know I may get some hate for this, I'd be ™™™™™™ to open a tin of the cup and get a lanny mcdonald limited logos. Maybe it's just me, I think the cup is more risky than buying a box of SP Authentic or H&P.

well I guess I see your point on getting some guy like alnny mcdonald...but you have to remember, for his time, he was a HUGE name...yeah the lesser names are the guys of old...but there is a huge market for them.
as for getting cards for $10...this is true as well. the deal with the cup is to get them the first day and have them on ebay the following day..they reap ridiculous prices!!!

like i said, i have sat back and studied these since 2006 and this year I will be amking my move...I am buying 3, 6 tin cases from my supplier.
I get them at cost price, so that is a huge help in itself.

but then again for some reason SPA appeals to me sooooo much! love going to shows trading up to get all the f/w autos! too much fun!

i would have no problem opening and gettin a nice Lanny McDonald limited logos, thats way better then getting any of the newer players who have no hobby spice

id hate to pull something like

    Patrick Hornqvist
    Michael Frolik
    Korpikoski
    Petr Vrana
    James Neal
    etc

No offense to the people who collect these players or anything, as you know what i mean, buying a 400$ pack of cards you'd rather pull a big name to get your moneys worth. Even though i collect Robbie Earl id hate to open a pack of the cup and get an Earl RC that i could have bought for 10$

But The Cup is a huge gamble, and id still put my vote to H&P!

Maybe this is a better question to ask,

do you buy cases because you like the cards and trying to build out the set, etc or do you buy the case with the hopes of making the money back/profit?
