Frustrated!?!?
I am pretty new to this hobby. I have had cards out since the middle of November and I do not seem to be getting anything back. Do any of you go through periods of no returns?
I have been looking around and the players I have sent to seem to return. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Right now I have 26 cards out there and have gotten 1 return. Wish me luck.

Be patient! This hobby is all about patience, I have over 200 requests out and I still have on occassion a random week or two I will recieve nothing at all. You just need to keep at it, keep sending to make the time go by, and forget what you have sent! Good Luck as I'm sure it will start to turn around!

think we all have periods of slow mail days. I've been out to one guy for over 8 months now & another for over a year. I start to think they are lost in the mail or something & then BOOM.. they show up. It happens to everyone.
This of it this way.. you will be in for one killer mail day/week here shortly.

I've had a success in less than a week and a bit over 4 years. It's a real crap-shoot on the length you might wait.
Also it's who you send to. If they are known to be good signers just be patient, you should get a reply.
I have about 500 requests out total with all the different sports i collect, actors, actresses, and various public figures. I only got 4 replies last week, but yesterday I had 5. After some time you will actually grow to enjoy the anticipation. i suggest you send another 25 out to increase your chances and get more soming in.
Good luck!

I sent 12 TTM requests out in September and have gotten 2 back. I know how u feel because I noticed that someone sent out a TTM to one of the players that I sent to, 2 months after I sent my letter, and he got it back 4 weeks later. I still havent got mine back from that player. Im wondering if i did something wrong, because I mailed it to a Vancouver Canuck hockey player and I live in Vancouver...still havent got mine back, while a guy in Ontario has gotten his back. So it is a little disapointing.

This can be a very rewarding and very frustrating hobby. Every time we send a request out, there's a very real chance that one of hundred things could happen to it to keep it from coming back to us.
A lot depends on who you're sending to as well as when. If you're sending to tougher signers, then you can expect a smaller return %. If you're sending to MLBers in the off season, that decreases your chances as well. Spring training usually brings better returns and some nice surprises as well.
