Marshall Basketball & Reds Winter Caravan in WV...

Finally got a chance to do some graphing in WV the past 2 days. Since I was busy with a couple events here the past 2 nights, I decided to combine the results in one thread here. I will start off first with Marshall Basketball.

    Marshall Basketball 1/27/10

Decided to finally head on down to a Marshall basketball game here last night. After reading recent reports on one player that could go big in the NBA someday, and after reading about the great year they are having, I decided to try and get this potential future 1st round NBA Draft pick. Here are my results from last night:

    Marshall Basketball

Hassan Whiteside 4/4, and a pic!!! (Despite the loss, he played real well. Ended up getting him after the game and he was real nice. I did take notice that he signed for 20 minutes after the game for everyone. I really hope he makes it big in the NBA someday. He has been really popular with the Marshall basketball fans here this season.)

    Donnie Jones 2/2 8x10s (1 for dougveerecke)

That is all I got from last night.

Otherwise that is all I have to share from this game. Thanks alot for looking!!!

Cincinnati Reds Winter Caravan in WV 1/28/10

After my classes today at school, I made the drive down to the mall in Barboursville,WV with a friend for the highly popular Cincinnati Reds Winter Caravan. After hearing all the buzz around Huntington of how big it was last year, this year was no different. About 350-400 people showed up to this stop. This is the first winter caravan I have ever graphed outside of Michigan. The last winter caravan I graphed was the Detroit Tigers winter caravan 6 years ago up in Traverse City,MI before they disallowed autographs on those stops. Despite the mess this event was today, and despite the organizers there telling everybody "One per", I saw a few people ahead of us in line handing players 2-3 items at a time and all that. Here is how I did with this Winter Caravan stop today including my friends results total:

(BEFORE I POST MY RESULTS ON A SIDENOTE: I wish the Detroit Tigers would take notes on how the Cincinnati Reds conduct winter caravans.)

    Cincinnati Reds in WV 1/28/10

    Reds

Dusty Baker 6/6, 4/4 (1 for gorphils, 1 for jbsouth, 2 for FJMBoston) (FJMBoston, yours came out in black sharpie as my friend was unable to get him to switch pens.) (Really nice guy. Was telling me he didn't mind signing all the cards and told me it was his choice to sign all the cards.)
Gene Bennett 1/1 Blank White Filler card
    Jeff Brantley 3/6, 3/6, 1 5x7 pic (1 for gorphils, 2 for jbsouth)
Chris Heisey 1/1, 1/1 Blank White Filler card (1 for jetpig00)
    Paul Janish 2/2, 2/2 (1 for gorphils)
Jim Kelch 1/1 Blank White Filler card
Eric Davis 1/2 8x10s, 1/1 Sports Illustrated cover (8x10 is for Chad)

That is all I have to share here resultwise for today. Was really happy of how it all turned out despite the mess this stop was. Thanks alot for looking!!!

Next up for me: Cincinnati Reds winter caravan stop in Athens,OH tommorow night...
