New trader...how do i get into trading?

I'm a new trader and i posted in that meet and greet forum. however, i have 1 question in terms of getting started in trading.

All i have are base, singles, inserts and it's kind of sorted by players so now my question: how do i get started? I'm looking for some specific "genre" of cards so to speak like bat, ball cards, autos, numbered but how do i go about listing my cards? i bought a collection of cards that were just base, singles, and a few inserts and i certainly don't want to list all of them on Microsoft word.
i can easily give the number of cards for each player but let me know....
    any recommendations?

If you want to make some nice trades you cannot be lazy. Type the list of cards you think most people will like that your easy on giving up. Start there, I don't mean - "Type up your whole collection" I just mean type the ones you think will be the best trade bait. Like hot players you don't really like, but think others most likely will.

I guess that's a good way to go about it. personally i don't have that much leisure time to type it out but thought this would be a good hobby to expand on. either way i appreciate your suggestion.
