    Hockey Card Day?

Hi people, tomorrow my lcs, pharmacy and a few other stores are giving away free packs of upper deck cards. Apparently tomorrow is hockey card day. Does anybody know about or celebrate hockey card day? I'm only asking because I've never heard of this before and haven't seen anyone else post something about it. If anyone has some general info about this I'd like to know. Lol, I'm from Winnipeg and this might be the closest thing to a card show that we get so I'm kinda excited. I wouldn't mind dedicating the day to hanging out at the lcs and banging off a bunch of trades face to face. Anyways if you didn't know about it there you go and if you do know about it please share, thanks.

yeah they are having it all over canada, theres even three venues here in Newfoundland that are doing it (im actually surprised as we get nothing lol) but its not really a card show or anything like that, pretty much just a free card give away (apparently from pics i seen there is a Tavares RC in the give away set this year)

It's funny, this weekend is Hockey Weekend Across America - and not a single hockey card release to mark the occasion here in the States...

So if anyone can spare a Duchene from this release I'd dig it!

Does anyone happen to know how many cards are in this set or even how many were in the ones from previous years?

15 card set, just like last year. 5 rookies, 5 stars, 5 vets/legends. I know I'll be grabbing a set after the card show.

    Here's last year's set:

Happy Hockey Card Day everyone. I just got back from my lcs with a box of ud s1 that I'm about to open (and hopefully have something to post on the breaks section) and 2 sets minus a Duchene (snowkat send me your addy) of the Canadian Hockey card Day set. The guy at my lcs hooked me up as always with a bunch of packs and I have 5 Tavares from it. I hope your day is treating you as well as mine, now if I can just get my Leafs to win tonight.....
