The Cup question
I have been debating, back and forth about maybe purchasing a tin or two of the cup.
My question is, is the cup a searchable, or openable product, and then be able to be resealed.
I would like any insight, as it is not cheap, and not want to put hard earned money into something, fully knowing I may not get jack crap.

Simple solution. buy through someone who is trustworthy. I'd buy from DAcardworld and not even think twice about it. I trust them fully.

Yes and no. Its easy to buy a 6 tin case, pull the case hit out of the first tin or two, and sell the rest off... Beware of this on ebay.
As for resealing tins, I don't think its impossible but its not likely.

Well there was that incident with LogoPatchCards and the time he bought some 05-06 The Cup and it was an unmitigated disaster. But other than that, you're likely pretty safe.

i think it would be obvious if the tin was tampered with, but like it was stated doesnt mean the case hit wasnt found and the rest of the unopened ones sold. but the recommended sites are pretty good and 100% trustworthy

I think it would be nearly impossible to tamper with tins of the cup. Like everyone else says though, buy from a reputable dealer like dacardworld. They also have the best prices.

I agree, buy from a reputable dealer instead of eBay. I buy from my LCS who I trust and they trust me if I come back with a bad product to return. And if you're thinking about The Cup, how about a nice box of ITG Ultimate Memorabilia instead...hmmmm?
