Rubio will be traded, I mean if what I read eariler was right about Rubio willing to opt out to play for Nets means he doesn't really want to be with Minnesota and he's an ungrateful little rat bag and I want him traded, especially if we could get the #1 pick outta it... we could then trade one of our high picks for a SG perhaps... Flynn is the future at point guard for the Wolves.

But not trading at the trade deadline is the way to go.

But, I don't think we want the #1 pick either...if we made a trade like that, we'd most likely flip the pick for veteran talent...

As for Rubio, he's just a spoiled little brat, IMHO...he hasn't even stepped foot in an NBA lockerroom, yet he's trying to get his way already..."I don't want to play in a small market"..."I want to be in the spotlight"...personally, I don't want someone like him on the team either...he'd be more trouble than he's worth...but, we trade him, and he'll become the next Magic Johnson or John Stockton...lol

Or we could be spiteful and not trade him, and let him waste his age and talent in Spain, because we hold his rights for when he finally enters the NBA right?

There is some sort of clause in a situation like this where he can enter the "rule 5" draft, I believe it is, and be drafted by someone else...but, I think that's after 5 years of not being in the league, but having been drafted.

You're thinking about baseball lol. I believe that as long as Rubio stays overseas, Minny still owns his contract. Rubio is only holding out to move out of the rookie scale and after 3 or 4 years (I believe) he will be able to sign a contract as a restricted free agent.

Thinking about the draft, the T-Wolves draft 3 PGs (including Ty Lawson) and sign another one in Sessions and still don't have a suitable PG in their system lol.

I'm an idiot...haha...there's something though, because Luis Scola was drafted by the Spurs, then re-drafted 5-6 years later by the Rockets...not sure what it is though...

i say keep rubio over there in spain...don't trade him now. Wait for him to come over in 2 years or hopefully sooner and if he doesn't wait till later to trade him for a serious need for the team. If you trade him right now, you have way too many questions surrounding the team to target one primary need with a valuable commodity such as Rubio

Lebron, Wade, Bosh...oh, you mean FA's that we have a chance of getting? lol I'd like to see Joe Johnson in a Wolves uni...I'd also like to see us getting a big...not another 6'10" PF who can play center...a legitimate center, so Al and Love and both play their natural position of PF...imagine a lineup like this:

    C A Natural Center...Dwight? lol
    PF Al Jefferson/Kevin Love
    SF Corey Brewer/Ryan Gomes
    SG Joe Johnson
    PG Jonny Flynn

The Nets are supposedly very interested in Rubio, and may be willing to trade the #1 overall pick for him, if they get it, that is. Rubio has said that if his rights are traded to the Nets, he'll attempt to opt out of his contract in time to play for them this fall, which is a year earlier than his contract allows.

please NO!!!!!, we ABSOLUTELY NEED JOHN WALL!!!!
