I've never thought Hitch was a good coach. And it's pretty sad to see the Jackets go from playoffs to Seguin/Fowler contention

I am happy! He ruined Brassard and was starting to ruin my boy Jake. Now bring back Filatov and hire a coach who likes young guy.

I think what peca says true he not a good with the youngster but he would not be the first. Hey, it worked his way last year and he did good with the talent he has. It not like you look at the Jackets roster and go wow. Change might be just what they need but I don't think any of their youngsters are going to trun the organization in a season.

When you think of where Hitchcock came from, its surprising that he is not considered good with young players. He was once considered one of the best coaches in the WHL. It took him a long time before he was given the opportunity to coach in the NHL. I guess over the subsequent years he's prefered coaching players with experience.
It's been rumoured most of the season about the possibility of Hitchcock being fired. I guess it was just a matter of time...........
