what value before you use tracking/insurance

hey everyone, I'm sure many of you have done way more trades than I have. I was just wondering what rough dollar value do you guys use before you decide that it's worth sending with tracking/insurance. any comments would be great, thanks

I usually only do it if it's $150 or more in value, but if my trade partner wants to have it for something less than that I'm generally OK with it, particularly if very scarce cards are involved.

I usually only do it on something that cannot be replaced easily (low print run 20 or less, a unbelivable swatch, etc.). I lot of times I will do it on packages to Canada for proof of shipping but not in the U.S. as I get a reciept as it shows I sent something to a specific zip code which can be matched up to that trader. No proof that it arrived but proof I sent.
