If you are interested in Lakers.... a couple of them live in or around Manhattan Beach and go down to the Hermosa Pier ALL the time... used to run into Lamar, Walton, Bynum down there coming home from a little happy time at the bars and clubs.... usually outside Sharkez

    Lakes Fan Jam

    March 20, 2010

As everyone predicted, it was a complete chaos. There were literally 7000+ people there. I went in at around 10:30 and when I got in line, it took abou 4 hour until I could finally get up to the autograph stage. Almost the whole team was there but they were signing 2 players for maybe a couple hours so whoever you got was by chance. I ended up gtting Andrew Bynum and D.J. Mbenga. Got Bynum to sign a 8x10 fo me but it came out horribly due probably due to a washed out siver sharpie so he signed another promo card for me, which was cool. For d.j. i didnt have anything for him but he signed a fan jam promo card for me. After that extensive wait for autos I got back in line to see if I could grab another one. The line was massive almost 3000 in line. and by the time we got close to it, everyone discovered that the line was a complete fake since ther were 2 lines forming and no one could get in. This got thousands of people mad who didnt even get an auto but waited in line for 5 hours+. Needless to say I wasted 5 hours standing in line. So Gasol, Odom, and Artest started signing which was the best lineup of the day and no one could get in even though they spent the whole day lining up. Overall it was totally unorganized and chaotic for day 1. Those who signed on Saturday included: Jeanie Buss, Marge Hearn, Mychal Thompson, Jamaal Wilkes, Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, Andrew Bynum, D.J. Mbenga, Luke Walton, Jordan Farmar, Shannon Brown, Josh Powell, Ron Artest, Lamar Odom, and Pau Gasol. I heard that A.C. Green and Norm Nixon was up signing atographs too but probably didn't see them because I was waiting in line for literally 11 hours. I guess the best part of the day was getting a pic with Bynum.

Went back thereas crazy as it sounds, hoping they would be more organized. Instead they announced the autograph line has been shut down and that everyone now needs to participate in games (basically for kids) to potentially win an autograph. I thought that was total bs and I should have sold my ticket since it was sold out. Eventually went in and participated in everything which only took an hour and I did not see anything autographed handed out. It was pretty disappointing and I left because there was nothing to do there. Waste of $15.
