    RIP Brendan Burke

Brian Burke's son, Brendan, was killed in a car accident today in Indiana

Brendan Burke was a courageous young man. Came out in ESPN.com story earlier this year. Hoped to have a career in hockey. So sad.

WAYNE CO., Indiana -- A crash in Wayne County Indiana claims the lives of two people Friday afternoon.
The wreck happened just north of Richmond on U.S. 35 near Economy.
Police said U.S. 35 was closed for several hours.
A black jeep lost control and slid into the westbound lane of the highway and hit another vehicle head-on, police said.
Mark Reedy, 18, from Missouri, and 21-year-old Brendan Burke, from Massachusetts, were both killed, police said

Thoughts and prayers to the Burke family on the passing of Brendan.

    RIP

I just heard about that. How tragic. You could tell how much Burke loved his son. RIP.

First the Leafs lose like they did. And then this new comes out after the game. Sad day for Leafs fans. Burke LOVES his children, I can only imagine how sad he is.

Very sad indeed, perhaps Gainey will give him a support phone call having been in the same situation not that long ago...
