Good luck on the venture...hope yours doesn't fall into a river!

Call the major companies' customer service and ask about dealer sales. I don't know all the specifics, but I'm pretty sure you have to have a brick and mortar storefront to get the dealer wholesale prices straight from the company, but once you have that up and running it shouldn't be a problem. Definitely don't buy from another site though...you would be paying for their markup, then have to mark it up further for yourself.

Before you set yourself up with a commitment to buy from the big boys, I would start by buying a couple cases of what you think you can sale on DA, blowout or one of those websites first to gauge what your clientele is gonna be like. From those shop owners I have spoken to throughout Kentucky (I live in Lexington and travel to Louisville and NKY often), the manufacturers will kill you during your first couple of years by making you commit to buying so much of each product that comes out. While this may not be a bad thing if you have the client base, you may have to eat some useless product that you won't have the market to sale. In the end, this is how Dave and Adam's gets alot of their inventory below wholesale--dealers who are committed to buying something they can't sale.
Just a thought. PM me if you would like to discuss the market around Central Kentucky.

Yea, Well..My Thought Was When I FIRST Got Up And Running, To Purcahse a Few Boxes From Internet Places, IE Ebay And Whatnot, Just Because Of That, Dont Wanna Get Overwhelmed With Things I Cant Push. And the First Year in Any Business Isnt Gonna Be So Great. Learned That From My Buddies Business (Computer/Gaming Repair)
Theres A Few Places Around Here I Can Get Some Display Cases For Really Cheap.

right on! Did you do market research? You also want to think about your location of the store. Is there going to be a lot of traffic (customers). What do you plan on selling more of singles, or packs? Are you going to sell other items like autographs, sports apperarl ect.? What % of book value are you going to sell your cards? And so on.
good luck!
