    He was a Rookie in 1979! lol
    But, its a VERY nice card.

    To an extent you are right, it really isn't from the 1988 Maxx set. It is from the 1994 Maxx Medallion set, but it is of his 1988 rookie card and it does book out at 400.00. The 1988 Maxx card is really his rookie card. Since 1988 Maxx is the first official NASCAR set in production there were quite a few rookie cards of drivers.

    isnt his rookie card the 1989 maxx since this card wasnt released in packs in 88. it was pulled due too not getting the licensing approved in time. This card is great and way over valued based on the fact there are many released since then that are legit. however it is booking high.
