Another New guy found the correct forum
I just posted this all in the wrong forum, but I will place it here:
Hello everyone. New guy here. I have been collecting cards since I was 5. I am now 25 and have money to spend on these things. When I was younger I collected every sport but recently been collecting hockey(because it is the best sport in the world). Favorite team is the Detroit RedWings.
I have a bunch of older baseball cards for the late 80's to mid 90's. After that I started to lose some interest, but I am back in a bad way.
I hope to learn a ton and meet some people. Now if I can just get to 10 posts I will be able to get into the hockey forums! THANKS
I also collect American currency, $1 poker chips, and comic books.
Back in the day thou, I collected certain players from the different sports:
Baseball: Nolan Ryan
Basketball: never really got into, but the limited collection I have is around MJ
Football: again never really got into, but Love Joe Montana
Hockey: Of course Gretzky, but any retired redwings(Sid Abel, Gordie Howe, Ted Lindsay, Terry Sawchuk, Alex Delvecchio, Steve Yzerman)
Currently I really like the 08-09 UD Black Game Ticket Auto cards. They are really nice looking and I just got my Ted Lindsay in the mail yesterday. It is a sweet card!

Justin, welcome to SCF.
Hockey, the best sport in the world? You might get a bit of argument there. ;D It's amazing how young people first start collecting. You've already been at it for 20 years, impressive. We have a very active trading community here and the hockey forum is actually ahead of basketball in topics posted. You'll be wheeling and dealing here in no time.

Thanks, I want to get some trading/buying going on. I have a nice collection(IMO) but I like all of my cards too much to give them up!
