Question How do you graph a golf tournament?

How do you graph a celebrity golf tournament? I don't have a particular one in mind right now, but I've always wondered this. Do you have to wait til they are done with the 18th hole or can you get autos in between holes? I also heard these things are getting more strict about bringing memorabilia in too. Any tips from anyone, in general?

During normal PGA tournaments, I think the best place is around the practice putting green. I would think celebrity ones would be similar. They are there with their caddies just rolling balls in. If you can get their attention, just show them your sharpie and ask them to sign. If you can't get their attention, their caddy is usually strolling around so if you ask him nicely to get their player's auto, they will tell them. I was shocked last year when I asked both Davis Love III and Stewart Cink to sign while they were walking to the 1st tee and they did. They normally will never sign going to the 1st tee with a driver in hand! This was at the Honda Classic last year. Cink went on to win the British Open later in the year...

When I graphed a celebrity pro-am I did extremely well staying at one far-out hole for the whole tourny and graphing each group as they came through. Now the pro-am I attended was pretty low attended but it worked for me. Just remember to be very polite and remember they are golfing and don't annoy them too much. Good Luck!

i did a pga event last year. did the practice round. you pretty much have to get there right when they open b/c they dont publish practice times. all of the guys signed, even woods. but he (and anthony kim) refused to sign anything premium (golf balls, 8x10s).

pga guys wont sign during the real rounds, except after they are done if they feel like it

i've heard those celeb ones are pretty decent, but you might have to follow someone for several holes to get them. the big one in tahoe (the one they show in TV every year) is really tough. apparently they kick you out if they stop you with stuuf

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah, I don't have any particular event in mind. Just thought of going one of these days & giving it a shot.

the tahoe one is good if you want to get some small flat things sign i did it 2 years ago brought a few programs was able to all 3 programs signed (took a week to do) also was able to carry around sports cards in my pocket as well as some ticket stubs and a few 8x10's in the program yes if you have aback pack or something or are carrying around bats or footballs or helmets pretty much anything big or bulky they will escort you out. if you do the tahoe tourny stick with the small flat stuff. now if you go to lesser known CTP (celeberity Pro Tour) tournaments you might get more lucky with bring bigger items on to the course or if your a die hard grapher you may want to check the hotel the players are staying at in tahoe.

When you follow a player around for a few holes, do you ask him after every hole or wait til he starts signing for someone else? How does that work?
