Trilogy gets worse and worse every year. It's overpriced, and there is just no value to be found.

Thats a little different. Before you were saying its because you dont understand their numbering. If the design is why you dont like them then more power to you. We all collect what we like and opinions vary. Sorry to "come at you" but i wasnt sure how you could say that about their numbering when UD is worse. I just hope the NHL wises up and abolishes the exclusive. I want to see what they can come up with with a license.

I couldn't agree more, but here's the thing about it...there are some chase cards in there that people are willing to go for. I'm guilty too...last year I bought only the equivalent of 1 box and hit a Crosby Ice Scripts redemption. It actually came from the very first pack I opened, so I could have literally stopped right there...but as any other fool does, I finished off the box. And a couple years ago I bought a box and pulled a Gretzky auto...I've always wanted a Gretzky auto, but not a band-aid one...so I sold it. Still looking for that on-card Gretzky auto, I'll pull one sometime...but I haven't touched anything since the 8 packs of 09-10 Black Diamond I bought...waiting for SPA, Ultimate and The Cup.

I pulled that same one and they do look amazing but really probably wouldn't sell for more than $30-40 I would think and a box costs $200-$230 CDN or more. Really the rest of the so called hits in the box won't sell that high to cover the box. Even pulling a Crosby Super Star Scripts probably only will fetch $100 so that pays for half a box. Without patches in a product that costs as much as it does there isn't enough value especially in the rookie cards from the set.
For everyone dissing ITG at least ITG puts nice patches in their products but I do hate no numbering on the cards however at least they tell you the print run versus UD which you can't find out anything about prints runs of cards that aren't numbered like the Classic Confrontations cards in Trilogy or the Victory Black cards for 08/09 Victory Update inserted in UD Series 2. Definitely more than 5 this time but who knows exactly how many.

lol I dont mind anyone "coming at me" anything that encourages a good conversation... I have multiple reasons behind not liking ITG those just being two of the reasons...Id be really curious to see what they could do with a NHLPA license also

The thing is though only one Ice Script/Combo auto for about 150-190 dependind where you are, but really you could be missing out because what if you pulled the Crosby or OVY/Green ice scripts then you got your money back for sure. the thing is 3 jerseys, 3 autos (1 or 2 usually crap) then 3 rookies which i think is a good deal if you get the nice hits. but i mean what if your best hit in the box was a Pogge ice script then i'd be upset, along with trying to destroy it. But point is go for it if you like the design and the set if you dont buy singles its easy as that.

09-10 Trilogy
Sorry you guys had no luck all the good cards are in Halifax I guess.
I was in my local card shop Friday afternoon and watched a guy bust 4 boxes and every box delivered hit after hit.
This guy hit on two Kanes one auto , Ovy triple jersey, several nice Crosby's a Gretzky, some nice RC including Duschene, Malkin jersey, MAlkin Auto, I can't even remember but every box got better and better. I couldn't leave the store I just had to see what he would pull next.
I will say however that the jersey card were not that spectacular mostly single colors and what the value of wehat he pulled was vs what he paid
($850) may not pan out.
