    "Our Army at War"

Like what "Our Gang" was to the "LIttle Rascals"!!!

LOL! Man. I forgot about the older name.

True... that was UD's first year, after all. But even then, set-building seemed to be more of the goal than just trying to get RC's all over the place.

I agree, more collectors were still building sets. I want to say the number of sets jumped from 1 in 1988, to 3 in 1989, 5 in 1990, and over 20 in 1991. After 1991 the numbers just kept rising. Though there were alot of products the packs weren't very expensive.

Not like today expensive! That's for sure.

Has anyone seen the 1993 Action Packed Mint Parallel product?

I have NEVER seen a card yet. I did see a MNF version, but nothing of the standard product.

    I can't say that I have either.

The early to mid 90's and some neat products. Not worth whole lot in general but some unique cards and designs.

I used to love Action Packed!! You would get an entire set plus insert sets out of 1 box....maybe a couple short a few packs wouldn't fix. I still have my 1993 set in pages and binder and an uncut sheet of inserts still in original shipping box I sent away for they gave away with tickets in the packs.

Oh yeah - the scan of my Nickerson 1000 stripe

I cant find any stripes of bledsoe. I think maybe the 5 stripe is the only 1 i have seen. And the 1993 action packed i have never seen either. I know the Bledsoe is his highest valued card according to beckett.

Nice Nickerson! Man, I LOVE those 1000's!

As for Action Packed, that is ANOTHER set that I went kinda' nuts for... but only for the 1991 version. II own a complete 24-kt Gold set (actually have two of them) from the regular issue AND the Rookie issue from 1991. Those 24K cards were INCREDIBLY HTG... I think it came to about one in NINE boxes for me. As for the other years, I only own a few Vikings here and there...
