Hockey and Curling, im a fan of it all to watch and was suppose to be there to take it all in but financial matters of a recent job loss prevented that for happening.
The opening ceremonies look fantastic though do not like the "taking a break" for commercials, it should be commercial-free.

Not a big Olympics fan, but definitely looking forward to hockey...and for some reason curling is mesmerizing to me.

A near perfect ceremony ended in a disastrous malfunction with one of the torch lighting. It's pretty embarrassing when you have the whole world watching.

The opening ceremony was okay, it was no where near the Beijing games.

I love curling too...it's a bizarre sport, but it is quite entertaining!

I didn't see the opening ceremonies, so I missed the botched torch lighting...what happened?

Basically, 4 people were supposed to light 4 torches that would eventually lead to the lighting of the big torch. And these 4 torches were rising from the ground. Well, one of the torch malfunctioned, and didn't rise. Only 3 torches rise, so one person had to share a torch with the other person.

But apparently there were malfunctions from other olympics ceremony before, so it wasn't as rare as I thought it was, but it's still a little embarrassing.

btw, what a crazy finish at the men's short track ice skating.

    Oh, ok...yeah, that'd be a little embarrassing!

Missed tonight's events, as I was watching the NBA All-Star fesitivities...it's stupid how they scheduled it to happen on the Olympics opening weekend...but, I heard the Ono won another medal to tie for the most medals ever won by an American winter Olympian...very impressive!
