Felt bad for your boy jeremy. He was pretty quiet during the race but after that second delay I looked up and see him at 12 and then 9. Thought he was going to make some noise, if it wasn't for that tire or whatever issue that took him out.

Yea, I'm used to it though....he never finishes well in the 500. Although he did seem to be going towards the front before the rear-end broke.

Congrats to McMurray. Just remember guys, the 500 usually isn't a good measuring stick to how your season will go. Like any restrictor plate race, almost anybody in the field can win it. I am not shooting the top finishers down but don't get too excited until after 4 or 5 races.

    Congrats to Jamie....where's Darin at?!!?

And what an amazing run for Jr....looked like his daddy out there coming out of nowhere to finish 2nd.

Good day for Michael Waltrip....his two cars finished 5th and 6th!

When McMurray won, I KNEW Darin would be partying!!

Gee...glad to know that somebody thought of me! :-)

Yes...yes...I'll admit that I'm probably one of the most excited about this win and was celebrating for a while after the race was finally over. For me, this beats out Harvick's win in 2007! I wasn't nearly as passionate while watching Harvick's as I was with McMurray's. McMurray and that entire team and organization deserved to win. I was concern early in the race though that he wasn't going to win. As the race went on and the delays happened, I had a feeling that this race was starting to shift to Jamie for the win. I'm glad it turned out that way!

Great win for McMurray! Man i thought Clint had it then he got kicked back to 8th, i thought him and Junior were doomed, then here they came. I thought one of em was gonna get it. I know they finished well, but im still pretty dissapointed. Once again, COngrats to Jamie!

Overall that was the best race I had seen in a long time and I am hoping the changes to the rear wings make a difference for the racing, make them like the old and better cars in my opinion. But definitely best plate race in awhile and the 3 chances to end the race at the end is in my opinion the best change NASCAR made besides letting them duke it out more. That rule is especially going to help the plate races. That is the 1st time in over a year I have been excited about NASCAR, mainly Jr's run was a big part of that of course but the racing was good. The track troubles were not fun but I wish they ran the 500 at night anyway, nothing better than a night race, especially at short and plate tracks.

I by no means am going to say Jr. is back but that was definitely the best car I have seen him have at a plate race in awhile. And what they did in the off season should have helped, if it didn't then everyone with the 88 is in trouble including Jr. The race this weekend should show if Jr. is back or not. A top 10 would be a good finish and build confidence, a top 5 would show that he is definitely back to me.

Don't really know why they were having so much trouble passing there for awhile b/c at the end they were 3 and 4 wide, maybe they were just being smart till the end for a change. But anyway great race and it reminded me of his 2001 Daytona July 4th race, I think this was even gutsier and harder to do coming from 22nd to 2nd, the cautions helped but damn he picked up over 10 spots each lap.

I don't know how anyone could hate McMurray, he has always seemed like a nice guy and my friends in NASCAR have all said he is a really nice guy. Congrats!

Oh yeah, tires were a big factor once again at the plate races which I think helps, those guys who took 2 tires really helped themselves I think, you could tell the differences in new and old tires.
