Most were serial #ed, but some that only went out in later products weren't.

Don't forget, they're not "Skybox Premium Autographics," so to speak. They were inserted at varying rates in every single Skybox product that year. As in, Metal, Metal Universe, Hoops, etc. Certain players were only inserted in certain products. The Anderson was probably only inserted in the last 1 or 2 products, as those tend to not be #ed.

I heard that Fleer kept some signed Autographics cards in reserve in case customers wanted to exchange damaged ones, and that those got out into the market in the Fleer bankruptcy auction. The backups were un-numbered.

This is also not true. The only Autographics left over were from the 00-01 Fleer Autographics. The pre-2000 Skybox Autographics were sold to an independent company in 2002, and were marketed as a separate product via Target retailers in the Summer of 2003. More importantly, no Century Marks were included. The extra Century Marks you were referring to were used as replacement cards between 1999 and 2001. Keep in mind that Fleer/Skybox only offered replacements for cards from products released in the previous 18 months. They had no reason to keep them any longer, let alone into the Summer of 2005 when the bankruptcy occurred.
