Anyone hear about 'Famous Fabrics'
I had an email from Beckett today, with a link to information on 'Famous Fabrics - First Edition'. It's a multi-sport set, looks a lot like some of the stuff that ITG does.
The company that makes it is 'Creative Cardboard Concepts'. Here's a link to the checklist:

It says the release date is Feb 24th..... I'm just wondering if anyone on here has ever heard of these guys.... and what the pack / box configuration is going to be like.... and what a possible price point will be (I would imagine expensive).

Looks very interesting but all I could find was
Each pack contains a single hand-packed card that is encased in a Famous Fabrics™ holder. Each Famous Fabrics™card is individually numbered.
There are only 400 10-pack boxes. Famous Fabrics™ is exclusively distributed by Creative Cardboard Concepts Distribution Inc. and Famous Fabrics™ First Edition will be released on February 24, 2010.

Going to have to keep an eye out for it. Looks like the 3rd Ranford card of the year has been made :)
Only 9 copies, and it contians a GU swatch of Gretzky, Messier, Lowe, and Fuhr as well.
Should be nice and cheap.

Wish they had a Boston city scape insted of Miami which has no real players like Boston for Boston (Bird/Orr/Yastemski/Brady) are way better than (Dontrelle Willis/John Vanbiesbrouck/Shaquille O’Neal/Dan Marino) for miami

Did a little searching..... and I did find this little tid-bit of infor:
"Creative carboard Concepts is a Dr. Brian Price company that follows in the tradition of ITG (In The Game)".
That's what I figured. The designs look very similar..... and when you include the fact that they have a 'Canadiana' set comming out too.... figured that they had to at least be related to ITG.
Look foward to it. The Packs will probably be out of my price range, but there's at least that one single I'm going to be after.

I dunno but look at the images that Gretzky Emblem might be the sweetest card I have EVER seen.
Seriously.

This is starting to make me wondering about how some of these licences work now. Obviously, from looking at the designs, this is not a set that licensed by the PA or the league (for any of the sports involved). They're not using player images. I have no problem with that, not what I'm getting at.
But using Gretzky, as a specific example, I thought he was no longer included in sets like Ultimate Memorabilia...... because Upper Deck has an exclusive Memorabilia / Auto license with Wayne himself, and thus preventing ITG (or other companies) from making cards.
Could it be that because this is a 4+ Sport set, it falls outside of such an agreement?
Really curious. I think it looks like a VERY nice set..... just wondering how they're able to pull it off.
