Dale Earnhardt 1951-2001
I was wondering why all day I had felt different.Nothing really excitinghas happened today, except for I made a trade and got a Dale Sr. '06 Legends Tire card and payed for 2 Dale Earnhardt Sr. diecast cars on eBay (Coincedince?).
But all of a sudden, my grandma was reading the paper, and she called me in the kitchen.
She said, "Do you know what happened exactily 9 years ago today?"
I had to think about it for just a second, and then I looked at the calendar and saw the date, 02/18/10.
Then, I knew she was talking about Dale.
Man, I cant believe its been 9 years since we lost NASCARs greatest driver, and NASCARs greatest friend.
May you RIP Dale, gone but not forgotten.
I never got to meet you in person, but one day, one day Ill see you.
RIP Dale Earnhardt

I was young, and dont really remember it.

I remember racing back then though, heck, I remember racing from back in the late 90's, but not particular races.
RIP

Dale was the driver's driver. When you ask a random person that does not follw Nascar if they know who Dale Earnhardt was, most still remmeber him. His passing made worldwide news.
Just a few little things I'd like to share
No matter what series

If it’s got wheels on it, he’d drive it

That all too familiar look

Sharing a gentler family moment (26 years ago)

Sharing words of wisdom with his offspring

Or a proud moment racing side by side

Paling around with “the kid”

Or sharing a compassionate hug with a sympathic word for a friend

We are sadly reminded of how much we love the sport,
but how dangerous it is
Gone, but not forgotten! RIP Dale!
