Nothing like some holiday mojo!

I got two boxes of cards today as gifts for Christmas, a 02 - 03 Fleer Authentix and a 02 - 03 UD Authentics. I opened the Authentics box first and it was... what's the word I'm looking for?... CRAP! I pulled three Uniform Greatness GUs (Swift, Joe Smith, and Nash), a Kareem Rush RC, a Garnett Heroes of Basketball, and a Tim Thomas Rainbow parallel. So naturally I'm very depressed at this point.

Now I turn to the Fleer Authentix box. I wasn't expecting too much out of this box. Maybe a Ticket For Four or an autograph if I was lucky. I open the box... no box topper. Not a good sign. I open the first pack and pull a Karl Malone jersey. Not bad. The next pack I open I pull a Glenn Robinson jersey. Things aren't looking too good. The next pack I open I pull a Mike Miller jersey. Now I'm thinking that I've gotten yet another crap box because there's only supposed to be 3 GU per box on average. So I open the next pack... and much to my surprise there is yet another jersey card in it. This time it's Chris Webber. Now my interest has peaked. Four packs; four jersey cards. Could it be that I have found the elusive hot box?! I open the next pack: another jersey card. The next pack: another jersey card. The next pack: another jersey card! So here, my friends, is the breakdown of the Authentix box:

24 jersey cards total, one in every pack. I didn't pull anything that was extraordinary (all the jerseys were the ripped version), but it was pretty awesome to pull 24 jerseys when you're only supposed to get three. Obviously it was a lot of fun to open each pack once I knew I had stumbled across a hot box. Anyway, I just thought I'd share my story. Happy holidays, everyone!
