    Need help grading

Hey, I've never graded my cards but I was looking at some of my RC and thought it might be worth grading them. Can anyone help me with where to get it graded and how much it usually costs per card etc.? Also, would people actually buy cards at the graded price? thanks for any help you can give me.

Surf around on beckett.com or psacard.com
Those are the top places to get your cards graded. Since it costs $10 or more to get a card graded, it's usually only worth it if you have a nice card that you think can get a '9' or a '10'. People will pay very close to the published BV for 9's and 10's.

use a lighted 10x glass to look at surface, corners(grading companies magnify like 15x in a dark room)...also measure for centering.

Try a forum search here about grading, there used to be a sticky with links.I'll post more when I locate usefull links

When you say they will pay close to the BV, you mean the graded price correct? For example, I have a vince carter RC and normally it is only worth $4 or something but graded the low price is is $50 and high price is $100 for Gem Mnt. So in this case people would pay $100 for it? Sorry if these questions sound stupid but I'm kind of new to this, thanks for any help.

Most new cards I would guess grade about '8'.
9's and 10's are hard to get. Especially from BGS. People will pay close to the *graded* price for these. Of course, it depends on the card itself (ie. demand).
Check out ebay & you'll see. That's the real test. Ebay.

9.5 is about the best you can get from BGS... It's extremely hard tho. And a 10 is very near impossible.
