I'm over it bro, I don't have room in my heart for grudges against people or I'd be consumed by negativity.
Anyway, GAME ON!

Ignore me if you want. It must make you feel cool to ignore people who have never dealt or talked to you huh?

Personally, I find it hilarious how bent out of shape Canada got...because we lost a hockey game. To the Americans which, of course, made it so much worse. But it's not like we lost to Ghana or something. Ryan Miller was amazing, Brodeur sucked, and that's what it came down to, basically, as sloppy as we played - the goalies decided it.
Apparently, if you're a national hockey team in Canada, you're expected to never, ever, ever lose. Especially to the Americans, *gasp*!! Yes, we expect to win it all but seriously, it was just one game of several. And you'd think we'd been eliminated already, the way people were reacting. I love Canada with all my heart but it's funny - for a country known as being friendly and laid-back, we get completely bent out of shape for the strangest of reasons.
That being said, I'd rather be passionate about something like hockey than some of the stuff that seems to get our friends south of the border out of whack.
Barrie, you're a good guy and I've enjoyed our dealings - want to make a friendly wager if Canada and the U.S. should meet up again? Maybe a pack or two of something from this year, or you can put your best Blake up against my best Luongo? ;-)

Michael, nice post, and I too have enjoyed our banter and dealings. I find this to be fun and good sport and am glad I have so many buddies up North who I can share this friendly rivalry with every 4 years.
I agree with you, it's not like Canada lost to the Swiss, they lost to a talented team with a hot goalie. We have all seen in the NHL playoffs what a hot goalie can do, I think that is similar and applicable here with Ryan Miller.
As far as a wager, let's see how the rest of the week plays out but I'll definitely consider it. As far as the prize I think wax might be better because I don't really collect Luongo cards.

I'll put up some wax fo' sho'! The Cup might be a bit rich but I'd consider anything else for a fun bet. Even a couple packs of trilogy or something, whatever. That would be fun.
Now it's up to my main man to take us to the podium with gold. My collection will skyrocket if he plays and they win this! Which is a nice after-effect of winning the gold after being so friggin' bad in Torino. Love ya, Brodeur, but your time has come. Hang 'em up.
