I also agree Brodeur did not have his best game. He did however make some great saves but I would bet if you ask him he would say he played well below his standard.
Yes there were a lot of players who also didn't play a good game.
I think this is because there are to many players on this team who usually get big time minutes (22 plus.)
With the 20 skaters and no real third or fourth line and 5th, 6th 7th d men to cut minutes from so no one seems to be getting in a rhythm. The timing is a little off.
Maybe it is time to go with 3 lines and 4 d-men for the most part so they get the minutes they are use to. Maybe get a good sweat going and the timing back
would be a bold move to staple 5 butts to the bench but desperate times call for desperate actions.
