Killer whale kills trainer....
http://www.time.com/time/nation/arti...s-nation-yahoo
my fav part...
What led the killer whale Tilikum to attack and kill one of his SeaWorld trainers in Orlando, Fla., will not be known until behavioral records from the days and weeks preceding the incident are examined.
Really No clue eh????? Maybe the fact that it is a rather large carnivorous KILLER WHALE might have something to do with it... Its not some freaking housecat people, idiots...........

Heard about this yesterday, and while sad to hear, I laughed at your take on it...the name of the animal wouldn't give you any clue, would it? lol

I can't believe someone would have a fav part when someone was killed. What a nice society we live in.
Sad for the trainer's family and i will keep them in my prayers.

Trainers already know in the back of their minds that any moment "Nature's best killers" can turn and have them in trouble. It is truly a shame, and thoughts go out to the trainer's family, definitely not the way to go.

We need to remember this is a rather large animal and doesnt exactly know how to play with a human... Kinda like how we would try and play with a ladybug....
I hate how people are labeling this animal a "killer" and some have even called for the animal to be destroyed... If we put ourselves in position to be in a large pool of water with a wild animal 30 times our size, and the animal holds you underwater Im sorry but that is at least partially your fault. We all choose our places in life and going into this career you have to know there is apparent risk.

Yep, it's the whole "you play with fire, you're bound to be burned" approach...it's a known possibility.

well anyone stupid enough to contain an animal like that in such an inhumane way isn't goingt to get much sympathy from me. Yes a life was lost which is sad, but lets think of the way this Orca is treated, a huge animal in a small confined area is disgusting. Its not some pet that can be treated like a dog, eventually it's instinct is going to kick in and voila.

Well it is a "killer whale". They got the name for a reason. Massive creatures, very ferocious. Beautiful creatures though.
I read different reports. The place was saying that she fell in or something. While witnesses are saying that it actually grabbed her. I bet that was scary to watch.

It's a WILD animal...what is the point of having these parks? Seriously, I never understood sea world or anything. I'd much rather see a whale in its natural environment like whale watching.

We have been to Sea World several times and i love it. I would much rather pay my 50 bucks, get into the park, and see things from different parts of the world i dont get too. The animals have stimulation and get exercise in the tank, although not like in the wild i truly believe that these animals adapt to the lifestyle they are put in.
I also heard a report the whale jumped at her ponytail... To be honest i havent even seen a pic to know if she has a ponytail but that is one report i heard last night.... They said the whale may have thought it was a fish.
