Need your help, received a card..minor problem

    HEY WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I RECEIVED THIS KANE TRILOGY ICE SCRIPTS CARD FROM EUROPE.

THE UD STICKER BEHIND WAS HALF PEELED OFF, AND WHEN I REMOVED THE CARD FROM THE TOPLOADER, IT PEELED OFF...( LIKE ONLY THE YELLOWISH GOLDEN PART)

NOW THERE IS ONLY THE SILVER PART LEFT, IS IT IMPORTANT?

DOES IT AFFECT THE VALUE OF MY CARD?

I REALLY DON'T KNOW, PLS TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW,

    tHANKS

well, the card is no longer mint IMO but if it is a PC card and you don't care about the value then it's all good.

The problem is time is going to change the fact that the card isn't mint anymore. If you sell it you have to state its damaged (which means less $$$) and if your doing it on ebay you risk that the buyer files a claim and gets there money back if they find damage that wasn't stated in the description. If you bought this card on ebay you could contact the seller and ask for a refund, but its going to cost you more to send it back than anything, and its not really worth your time (in my opinion).

Damaged cards are an unfortunate part of the hobby. Sometimes its hard to notice chipping and creasing until you have it in your hands and if the trader or seller neglects to notify you its pretty easy to get a bad taste in your mouth. I've had several very nice cards come to me with damage that I was not informed of or couldn't see, but most of the time I just bite my tongue and I will deal with the potential loss down the road if I decide to sell them.

We will all say the same thing, the card is no more mint and mean less dollard too unless you do not disclose it and we all know it not the way to do things. Either you take the loss and keep the card or you ask the person who sent you the card to ask for repare.

If it was a Carey Price and you would inform me of the damage, I might just skip and get a other card with no issue. We all want Mint card but it does not always go that way. I never claimed back anything and the few time I saw damage like you mention then I took the loss and moved on. If one day I wan to trade for it then I will state the condition of the card.

So either you accept the loss or ask for repair if you bought or traded for it.

Now value wise, I would say if its a minior thing like this on plexiglass then I think you could still get a nice percentage of the original value because it's Kane and he is collected and wanted.
