I'm just wondering if you ever went to a show before, and observed? one of the best practices is to scout out how other people work their tables. Usually if it's your first show, don't try to overwhelm yourself with bringing too much stuff. What you do bring, make sure your organized, as this shows prospective buyers your willing to work with them. Also making your table/s organized attracts people to you. Such as having boxes with game used in one, Rookies in another. some people use binders, but I found that these can be cumbersome, but that's your choice in the end.

Do you have Glass/Plexi-glass covered showcase? This is great to use if you have big$ cards you want to keep from having slick hands from getting at.

Also you wanted to know about pricing. most everyone I know use BV at their tables, and prospective buyers that are not really aware will pay full BV. But to savvy collectors, we all know BV means squat, and you could tag your cards at full BV price, but be ready to deal. You could have a clearance box for say 50% off, or 3 for $10 Jersey box. you could also pack up 20 to 25 Base cards in team bags, and sell them for $1.

These are just only a few ideas I can give, and there are a great deal more ideas from other guys on here. I hope I gave a bit of a start.

    Goose97 provided some good tips.

Definitely be organized. But most importantly - for your first show - be flexible. What you want to do is build business ongoing - NOT make a killing or get the very last possible dollar for your cards. Give a little and you'll find that your customers will become ongoing customers. Always consider the next sale when conducting the current sale.

It will take a few shows to determine what works and you'll likely find that there's little in terms of trending. But you will find what works best for you and your customers.
