Does anybody else get exceedingly nervous about the fates of some of their favourite players on deadline day?
Last year I was very nervous that Josh would be traded - largely in part due to the bonehead owner in Tampa Bay that leaked the rumoured Lecavalier trade to the press. Fortunately that came and went.
This year, though, I'm almost expecting to see Carey get traded. I don't know if this is a product of reading too many negative Habs commentaries, the media, or some other sentiment that has to do with the way that the fans have treated him the past year. For some reason it just reminds me of the feeling I had back in 05-06 when Theodore got traded. I got the sense it would happen, and it did. It's funny, I just finished reading The Game and heck, 30 years ago Dryden was talking about how he'd "lost" the fans in Montreal and they'd slowly turned on him. Nothing has changed on that front since.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

i don't fully agree with this. Yes, they don't have a 20 goal scorer but they have 7 players with 13 or more goals, 2 more with 9 and a Kaleta (Sabre Public Enemy #1) with 8.
What they need is a better defensive player or defenseman. Rivet, Montador and Lydman have been putrid over the last month. I think a guy like Hamhuis would help alot shore up the back end.
I would not mind seeing a guy like Ethan Moreau come over and play on the 3rd line with Grier and Gaustad and if you have to move Clarke MacArthur to do it... fine

look how good he has been doing in the AHL. 21 points in 44 games and second in the league with a +35 !! Even though he is 48 his experience and work ethic is a lot more valuable than testing a younger guy to see if he's ready

How 'bout Drew Stafford :)
That's the guy in Buffalo that I'd love to see Edmonton get their hands on. Would be fine with something like Moreau & Cogliano.
