Spring Training 2010 - Padres, Mariners, Royals

I spent the weekend out in Phoenix. It was great seeing a lot of threaders out in force helping each other out. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate today as it rained quite a bit so I skipped out on the Royals/Rangers fanfest (I assume that it was cancelled). In all, it was a great time. I wasn't quite as dedicated as some others. I just spent the two mornings going after the Padres, Mariners, and Royals. In all, from my two mornings, I walked away with 120 total autographs.

My brother and my dad are going down to Spring Training and as usual we have all the main guys cards. But we don't have anything for the younger guys. I would love to get them on photos like you did.

Adrian is big league now. He is very hard to get. During the fan fest, he only signed for kids (10-15 total) and told everyone else he would get to us after an interview. There were not very many people and after his interview he blew us all off and went back to the clubhouse for the day. During practice and in the morning he blew us off each time.

Really? Not the experience I had at all. I was just down in spring training and saw the Padres twice. Both times he was more then willing to sign for everyone. People would ask him to SS balls and he would. He was a pretty cool guy. I think I got him 4x total. When were you down in Spring Training?

Glad to hear it. I was there the last weekend in February. We must of just caught him on some bad days then. Hopefully when he gets back out here to San Diego, he'll sign at the ballpark.
