You want to pull Andrei Loktionov. He is the best rookie in UD2

LOL! He is one of the better ones though . I kinda hate how they load up series 1 with the best YGs and leave S2 with almost nothing. But the best one would be something along the lines of Gustavsson etc....

Unfortunately there is very little value for money spent in UD2 this year. The JVR rookie debut is not bad, but in general there just isn't much in the average box of this stuff to write home about.

The only thing that really gives value to UD2 is the chance to pull some Black Victory Rookies.

The retail blasters, it's hard to get much. The hobby boxes though.... I don't think they're as bad as everyone makes them out to be.

The Rookies are much weaker in Series 2 (which is typical) but they've got a lot of other nice stuff for GU that Series 1 didn't have. The Victory RCs also add a little more value to the boxes.

My example: I've bought two boxes of it so far. I'm only interested in a base set (still missing about 25 cards), the Young Guns, and the Messier Heroes. Everything else can be moved.

So far.... I traded 6 inserts I didn't want, and finished off the base Messier Heroes (that was after only the first box). I traded on GU for a Glen Anderson Auto I wanted.... and sold all the Victory RCs (including a Taveres) plus a Tavares Insert for (roughly) $17. Kept the Victory Golds... which will make decent trade bait later.

I've also got a couple of GU (a Rookie Patch, and a Fab Four) that I'm likely going to stick up on eBay. Probably get in the range of $15 and $25 for them.

At the end of it: I'll make close to the cost of a box back, plus make a few trades for other cards I would have spent a few bucks on. That Anderson was probably worth $10-$15 on eBay, by the time I include shipping costs.

I don't think the Upper Deck Series 2 is bad value at all...... but it's tuff with the retail boxes / blasters..... because you don't get the GU as frequently.
