Has this ever been done?
I have a massive whale on it's way to me in the mail right now, and once it arrives, it will leave only one card (including all 1/1's, but excluding press plates) from Guillaume Latendresse's rookie year that I don't own. In total, he has had 99 unique rookie year cards released, plus a single 1/1 awaiting redemption from Upper Deck (which I own). If that 1/1 is produced that would bring the total to 100 unique rookie year cards, and then of course the SPGU Letter Marks pending redemption from Upper Deck (11 letters in L A T E N D R E S1 S2 E) would bring the total to 111 unique cards. I have 14 redemptions for these, and presumably, I will have the full name when(if) they are sent out.
So, assuming the 1/1, and the Lettermarks are produced, and assuming I get all 11 letters, I would be at 110/111 including 1/1's.
I know there are a lot of ridiculous player collections out there, but what I am wondering is, in what I will call the "The Cup Era", has anyone actually gotten 100% of the cards produced from a players' rookie year including all 1/1's? If so, how many cards did that player have for the year?
Who else is really close to getting there?

I am at 208 of 216 for Jeff Carter rookies from 05-06. This includes single version press plates not each color.
Did you ever find that ITG Spectrum Gold Latendresse/Carter/LaFleur 1/1?

That's a pretty amazing feat - I've got a pretty strong Gorges collection but quite a bit of the really rare stuff still eludes me. Congrats and I hope you get it done!
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Very impressive. I don't know of anyone who's done that in 'The Cup Era' (I think that's a good point of reference - becuase 05-06 and onward are very different from years past). My Ranford collection is really close to complete, but I never had to chase the kinds of cards that come out now.

I've seen his PC in there, and I know it's awesome. I'll have to go in and take another look, and find out what his numbers are like. Impressive PC regardless.
The last card I need is the 2006-07 Hot Prospects Auto NHL Shield.
Your PC is ridiculous! But you already know that. Unfortunately I haven't found that one yet. If it ever goes up for auction we're gonna have to talk, so we don't drive up the price for each other.
