Superlative Question

Was there an 08-09 Superlative? I remember when it came out in 07-08 and I LOVED it because the Prospects auto jerseys were my, and still are, my favorite cards ever made. What happened to it last year? I remember there was a leafs and habs version but can anyone answer why there wasn't a regular version of it last year?

And who's excited for it to return?

I'm pumped for it to return. I think ITG scrapped a regular version in favour of the team ones.

That's exactly what they did. Made Superlative Habs, and Superlative Leafs.

I expect after Superlative 2, you'll see Superlative Wings, and Superlative B's. then Superlative 3, followed by Superlative Hawks, and Superlative Blue Shirts. Maybe not in that exact order, but something along those lines would make sense to me.

Superlative Volume 1 was the 2007/08 release, I believe because they used so much memorabilia they couldn't supply a Volume 2 (it also delayed UM8 while they gathered more) so instead made BBR in honor of the Canadiens centennial and the Leafs version followed. The next product after 2009/10 Between The Pipes will be Superlative Volume 2 and it will be another full-blown Superlative release. I think Dr. Price also mentioned the other Original Six teams might not have the content to be standalone products so there may be a combination product released some day, and he also said he wouldn't do the product unless he could get enough of the key legends to sign on to do the franchises justice.
