Duchene is a good choice, but way too expensive, he's a SP RC in everything that has SP RCs, plus a ton of people collect him.

I'd go with Nikolai Kulemin. His cards can be had for pretty cheap right now and I think he will be a good player for a long time. Just depends on what he wants to do. He has the talent.

Anyone who is retired. At least that way they won't get traded to a team you dread!!!!

I will name a possibility for you that has not been mentioned yet and he is having a terrific year..Patric Hornqvist.
He plays for Predators so you should be able to get his 08-09 cup rookie pretty cheaply.
He has scored a ton of goals this year and was even on Sweden's Olympic team.

Speaking of Predators, Shea Weber is underrated and his cards are ridiculously cheap.

I'm going to throw out a suggestion here.....

Really put some thought into this. Pick a player that you like. Even if it's a bigger name guy who's more expensive (so you can't get as many) that may be the better way to go. Maybe a lesser player where you can get a lot of cards is the way to go. I don't know?

But pick a player you like..... not just someone with "good value". Ask yourself if you'll still collect that player if he gets traded (becuase eventually, he probably will). You see it all the time in these forums "my PC guy got traded, so now all of these cards are FT". Most player collectors put a lot of time & money into building those collections, and it's very difficult to ever recoup it.

Grabbing a bunch of cards of some guy that seems like he's a "good young player" but is someone you've got no more than a passing interest in..... and plays for a team that you don't really follow, forgive me.... but what's the point? I'll gaurentee you're looking to flip them, at a loss, in a year's time when you lose interest.
