Who will be the 1st player chosen in the 2005 NFL draft?
Who will be the the 1st player chosen in the 2005 NFL draft and will it be the 49ers picking it or will they trade down to get additional picks?

My guess is they will trade down for two reasons:
1) They have several holes and multiple picks would be a bonus for them, one big player is not going to be much of a solution.
2) They probably do not want to dish out the dough a #1 pick expects to get.

i think there going to trade for players and a good team with money is gonna get it because face it the 49ers sucked this year and they have quite a few holes to fill

Adrian Peterson is a freshman and not eligible for the draft (see Mike Williams and Maurice Clarett's cases). Kevan Barlow can be very good (like in 2003) if he gets a good O-line to block for him. Jeremy Newberry, the 49ers' starting C, was the anchor of that O-line and he missed the entire season. Personally I hope the 49ers can trade down for additional picks for O-line, CB, and D-line help.

This has no validity but I think this is very possible. The 49er's need a running back. The Falcons have two good running backs(3 if you count Vick).
Falcons trade Warrick Dunn(1100 yds rushing behind a horrendous line) and 1st round pick.
49er's trade 1st overall pick and 4th round pick.
