UD Victory vs UD Victory Update inserts
Hi,
I'd like to know if there is a difference between the cards Upper Deck Victory and Upper Deck series 2 "Victory Update" inserts. Are they the same? Or maybe the Upper Deck series 2 "Victory Update" inserts are like a series 2 of the original "Upper Deck Victory" cards?
I bought some UD 09-10 series 2 and got some "Victory Update inserts", like a Duchene Gold, but I wonder if it's his real RC or if it's just an insert.
Thanks!
Best regards.

Hello!
The Victory cards found in Upper Deck Series 2 follow the regular numbering found in the earlier released stand alone Victory product. Thus, they are part of the regular Victory set and the rookies are considered true RCs.
However, it is only the base cards that are given the RC status. The Gold and Black parallels, such as your Duchene Gold are not considered actual RCs but are still very much in demand. Especially the Victory Black parallels were some of the toughest cards to hunt down in recent years for any rookie player collector. This year however, the Black parallels are considerably easier to find, about one per case I think.Check out my collection of game worn jerseys: Hidden Content

Sounds correct.
Think of it like Victory Series 2..... but it's a pretty small set, and you get them in Upper Deck Series 2 packs.
