    1998 Topps Gold Label Question

    i have a bunch of these i got in a random box... went to look them up nd there are 3 classes.. how do you tell the difference? i have a red label /100 and 2 black labels and a bunch of commons

    I don't have any football gold label cards but I do have a baseketball one and it says class 1 in small letters on the back. For the basketball card it is near the GL1 on the back, but it is probably different for football cards.

    i dont see that anywhere... i dont know.. it really doesnt matter as it appears they are all worth the same.. o well.. leave it to card companies to confuse me

    The 1998's don't have the class on the back. They didn't start doing that until 1999. The class all depends on the 2 different poses. Also, I know that for the baseball class 3 are worth the most, then class 2, then class one.

    I used to buy those all the time. One of the differences is in the way the picture is. Another thing is the script the name is in. I think class 1 was normal gold, class 2 looked kind of like a diamond like silver, and class 3 was like a goldish diamond looking thing (you'd know it if you saw it). At least I think that's how they were lol.
