Mail questions
Hi folks,
I have two questions concerning Canada Post.
First, am I the only one thinking that mail is very slow since Christmas? Often, stuff take almost two weeks to go from Canada to Canada. That is very long. The other day, I learned that a pack I shipped from NB took at least 8 days to get to Eastern Quebec!
I don't remember the last time I said: “Wow, that was fast“ about an item I bought or trade for.
Second, I see a funny trend in the way I receive my mail. Any weeks, I received around 12 bubble mailers (more or less). Since Christmas, I alway receive around 75 % of those mailers on monday. The rest came in, during the last four days of the week. I don't buy on eBay on a specific day. And I trade all week long. Can you explain why I get almost all my mail on monday?
Just curious to read what you have to say about it.I collect the following:
- Vintage (Stars and RC)
- 2010-11 ITG Decades (Auto, GU, bases)
- Stars from the 1980s (in modern sets)
- Montreal Canadians Legends (bases, inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)
- Montreal Canadiens actual players (inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)

I've noticed the same trends.
Canada Post is slow. Not always (I have got stuff within a two or three days that was Ontario-to-Ontario) but most of the time.
As for Mondays..... you're right. I would imagine this is because Canada Post employees probably work all weekend, shipping mail, sorting mail, prepping it for delivery.... it's only the delivery service that shuts down for weekends. You're getting three days worth of mail, instead of 1, on Mondays.

I always look forward to getting home on Mondays, because I know there will be a bunch of packages.
I've been getting so many lately that I'm a little disppointed on days when I get home to find nothing waiting for me.
