Starting the season behind reigning Vezina Trophy winner Tim Thomas on the Bruins depth chart meant Tuukka Rask was unlikely to see a lot of ice time this season. But both Boston and Thomas have struggled at times this season, opening the door for the 23-year-old native of Savonlinna, Finland. And he has made the most of his opportunity.

Rask is battling superstar netminder Ryan Miller for the best goals-against average in the league and currently sits fourth in save percentage behind Miller, Tomas Vokoun and Evgeni Nabokov. Elite company for a young man who only played one NHL game last season.
