Wow Mr. Erskine is the man. Amazing responses to your questions.

Carl Erskine is one of the greatest guys in the hobby...I wrote him a few months back with just an index card; he filled up the entire index with inscriptions and advice, and added a card of his own. I love older players like that...really make returns fun and personal.

Thanks, it definately makes the return three time as cool when they answer them.
Thanks!
Yeah.. Seems like a super guy. >I agree.

Few today..
Isaac Bruce, 1/1. Signed my 11x14 with my gold marker. Those 2/$1.00 Elementz markers seem to work well! Props to my man akoch for the addy.. Super stoked. He wrote on my letter to direct future requests to his foundation, I'll be putting that addy into the database. Thrilled to have this (I have plenty of certs of his already and a cert 8x10 of his Superbowl TD) but nothing in 9ers uni.. He's always been a favorite of mine and I'm glad he spent two seasons with the 9ers.. Classy as they come. I gotta figure out a better way of sending these, even secured to a piece of cardboard in a bubble mailer these things get the living crap beat out of them.. Wrinkles, dents, etc. 11x14 top loaders are super pricey.. If anyone has any advice, lemme know. I should also look into a cheap camera.. My phone takes good pictures outside.. But not inside and they have to be compressed to email. Smart phones.. Not so smart.

Michael C. Hall, 1/1. Another one I'm stoked about. Dexter is one of my favorite shows.. Signed my 4x6 in a decent amount of time.. Happy with this one.

Wally Westlake, 3/1. Had this '53 Topps sitting around and figured I'd send it.. I love the way this set looks signed... Didn't realize how much bigger it was than a normal card though... Won't fit in a binder! He also added a nice looking photo and signed the protective IC (this card is pretty brittle!)

I love that Isaac Bruce...get that address in the Database! Haha congrats...I think all the guys I'm writing to this weekend (Nelson, now Westlake and Bruce) are going to be inspired by your thread.

I just spend the last two hours updating my successes from most of August to today. Kind of a pain when I update both this and SCN. I gotta start using a spreadsheet or something. And that's what this place is all about right?
Thanks! I find my photos online, and do my printing through AdoramaPix

very nice man. I need to start sending more to retired guys as my recent send outs to the current NFL players are no returns.

Thanks dude.
Thanks again man..
I don't take many shots on current players.. Mostly the sure things. Who did you all send to?

Pretty great day to fill the void that was a postal holiday yesterday lol
Aeneas Williams, 1/1. Dang these silver and gold markers are coming out amazingly on the 8x10s. Aeneas is a great guy.

Anthony Armstrong, 2/1. Never got a note from a current player before.. Cool return, I liked watching him last year (as painful as it was to watch the rest of his offense..)

Roger Clemens, 1/1. I sent an IC expecting to get this photo back. Looks good to me.. Hope it's legit!

James Earl Jones, 2/2.. 4x6's.. His silver. Looks great.
