Thanks man. Can never go wrong with the non-glossy Score's. And I just think it's a great looking design.
Thanks!
Thanks man.

One today.
Ross Browner, 2/2. Underrated DE for the Bengals in the 80's. Another SB SM.

nice stuff as usual. Ace's sig is really getting shaky but for a 99 year old man, atleast he is still going strong & signing autographs.

Nice Browners! Gotta get mine out to him, and wow since I got mine back a few months ago, Ace is getting a lot shakier. (Totally understandable, just saying)

thanks man. yeah, i see people in their 70's with shaky handwriting, can't imagine what another 30 years would do. great guy to still be taking the time for us.
Thanks! yeah it seems like sometimes he can lay down a pretty good one, and then there are some bad ones. i got him on two customs a year ago, and they're real nice and legible, but just shaky. He signed an 8x10 for me back in the summer and it's pretty illegible. but yeah, it's just cool he's still able and willing to be doing it for us!

3 today.
Gino Marchetti, 3/3. Two 8x10s and a card. Even as a HOF'er, I think Gino is under-appreciated by the average fan.. Most don't even know who he is. So cool that one of the best defensive players ever is such a great signer still.

Bob Lanier, 1/1. Would have been better if he used a Sharpie. Coudln't find a card of his that wasn't super glossy or wasn't dark like these old Topps. Can't really see the pen against it, and use used one of those fountain pens so it kinda smeared and didn't stick too good. Still happy to have it.

Curtis Granderson, 1/1. Awesome one to have. I sent an IC (knowing I'd get this, which is all I wanted).. So cool a superstar does this. Probably gonna be named the '11 AL MVP (and should be).

Well that's a nice day...I got Lanier to sign a Stadium Club (whatever the recent year is) awhile back. Card is dark and glossy, so I had to rub it down. But Lanier seems to be a smart signer and did it in silver for me. If you want one that looks better, go for a dark one and ask for silver.

Thanks!.
Sounds like a good idea, I just hate to assume that guys have silver, most don't.

One success today.
Tavares Gooden, 2/2 c/o 49ers. Solid depth guy and a force on special teams.

One unsigned from..
Fernando Valenzuela. I like the closure if it's going to be a failure, but jeez.. It's more understandable from a guy like Rodgers than Fernando.Last edited by REDANDGOLDPRIDE; 11-14-2011 at 09:29 PM.

Yeah, I was surprised that he actually signed it in silver. It was the only card I had at the time and hoped that whatever he signed in would show up. He used a silver and it's one of the best looking successes I've had to date.
How 'bout them Niners?

Hm, I might re-try sometime!
I was 10 last time the 9ers were playoff caliber. So I gotta say I've never been happier as a sports fan as I am right now. I don't like how surprised people are that we're good at all though.. we were being dogged and placed behind the Rams on paper before the season. Which is ridiculous. The Rams were not a good football team last year, and gave no reason for me to believe they would be this year. The 9ers however, had loads of talent at key positions (two monster TE's, solid WR corps (with Crabtree, Morgan, Edwards), a top running back, some solid young offensive lineman, best 3-4 DL in the NFL/one of the better DL period in Justin Smith, Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman who is Willis Jr.. Aldon Smith, Ahmad Brooks.. Best front 7 in football right now. All we needed was for Smith to be a game manager, and he's done that brilliantly and he's stepped up and put the team on his back whenever we've asked him. We 9ers fans have realized that we've had enough talent to win this divisno for a few years now, just horrible ownership decisions and moronic coaching and coaches were the culprit. 8-1.. couple blown coverage in an OT loss vs Dallas from being 9-0 and we've only played one NFCW team.
Alex is obviously not the future and we need a franchise QB to put this team where we want to be ultimately, but I gotta say I applaud Alex for taking what was a lose-lose situation for both him and the 9ers to come back for one more year and doing what he's doing. Can't imagine what this team would be doing with a Rodgers, Stafford, or Brees. Heck, even Eli Manning.Last edited by REDANDGOLDPRIDE; 11-14-2011 at 11:09 PM.
