Another solid day.
I'll start with the bad news though.. Got a SASE from Peyton Manning, got my custom back unsigned with this preprint card. Understandable seeing as it's the middle of the season and everything, hope this isn't permanent.. Or maybe it's because the custom I sent him was pretty dark and he didn't bother signing it because it'd be hard to see? It's just weird because I've never heard of anyone getting back a preprint card.. Plus people are getting stuff signed back from him. I'll try again with something different.
Got my 8x10 back from Joe Schmidt signed beautifully.. He even added a thicker piece of cardboard with the SASE. Great guy.
Got Yale Lary 1/1, with his $5 fee. I was worrying about this one since I saw two returns last week since I had sent mine.. Was kinda hoping he'd stay in the box, but no complaints!
Then I got Barry Sims c/o the 9ers. Took longer than I figured, but looks good.

hmmm...manning must be getting busier since hes not sending out pre-signed photos now. the 2 times i got my card signed by him, i sent right after people started recieving pre-prints. i think he signs in bunchs, and you have to catch him at the right time.

No, I didn't bother with a donation this time since no one else has been sending one lately. I'll just try again, I have no problem giving him $5-$10, I just don't wanna get a preprint back again and have him keep the donation..

now im not %100 sure on this but i think its a pretty good bet ( atleast with my experience ) everytime i have sent a donation $5, he has always signed my cards, when i have sent items with NO donation i have recieved the pre-print.
i might start a thread about this but, i wonder how many people have sent to Peyton with a donation & got the pre-print back.. interesting...........

No donation, authentic signature for me. I noticed on SCN that a lot of peeps have been getting donations returned while still getting signatures.

I'm not sure we'll ever figure out how he does things. Really random.
I'll just try again with some money, the only reason I didn't is that I noticed other people weren't donating so I figured I'd try to save a few bucks.

Got a failure today from Ted Hendricks.
Got my card back unsigned with a price list.. I don't think he read my letter.
No worries though, in the mailbox was a certified auto of his I got for less than two bucks with the combined shipping when I bought my Fleer certified Otto Graham card.
His fees are nuts too. $20.00 per card, $30.00 for a licensed photo, $30.00 for a mini-helmet, and $30.00 for a HOF card, and then $50 for a jersey card..
