It sucks to have cards away from you, and you have to go to the bank to see them... lol

I just canceled by safe deposit box....Just way too many things could go wrong. One, if something does get gone, theres nothing you can do about it, Two, Just heard too many stories on the internet along with MSN doing a story about safe deposit boxes.

Good thread, it's funny I was just talking about insuring my cards with my pops the other day. I'm not that scared about robbers stealing my cards it's the Mother Nature thing. Or if, God forbid, a fire were to occur...or a roof collapsed which caused flooding. In fact...this happened last Saturday night (March 13). I live in Queens, NY.....never seen anything like this happen in NYC. Always in Long Island or Jersey or Connecticut...
The neighbor's tree fell in her front yard which fell into her smaller but thicker tree which fell onto our fence/driveway. Neighbor's car & my car are both trapped in our respective driveways. Not much damage to the house just busted some water drainage pipes on the side of the house. But it could've been much worse. I'm glad my cards are ok, lol. But it's a real wake up call...
Edit: The 1st picture is my driveway (with my white Dodge Charger) and the 2nd picture is the driveway/front yard of my neighbor's house. The last picture is the root, pretty big treeLast edited by Zeppelin1985; 03-16-2010 at 03:00 PM.

I should really get a fire/water safe. My binders/boxes are sitting in the open in my bedroom. Not very safe whatsoever.

I second bolting the safe down, that would be your best option if you weren't getting them insured.
