    Need Your Opinons

    Good Morning,
I have a question about 2009-10 Hockey boxes which one should I buy next? I'm collecting most of the base sets this year and want to know what is the best hobby box out there out of O Pee Chee, Fleer Ultra, Victory, MVP, and Collectors Choice? Basically I want quanity and quality all at the same time and be the best HOCKEY hobby box as my next purchase. O Pee Chee I'm going to say is the best as there is more to be released in O Pee Chee Metal but I'm not sure please give your comments on these hobby boxes so we can trade and buy/sell better and more.

i know that opeechee is a huge set, so if you were planning on building the base, it may not be the best option...with that being said, i dont know too much about the others besides MVP - and MVP is alright...fairly cheap box, with nice base cards, nice inserts, and generally one 2 on 2 jersey per box
now, onto my ITG plug...i know you didnt list it, but ITG heroes and prospects is just an amazing product...in 2 boxes (ive bought well over that) i completed the entire base set, pulled 5 inserts, 2 double patch cards, 2 jersey cards, 5 autos...i honestly cannot bring myself to buy anything else lol

This year, I bought two boxes of each of the following:
    - O-Pee-Chee
    - ITG Heroes & Prospects
    - Upper Deck 1
    - Upper Deck 2

My funniest break was OPC. One Parallel in each pack, about ten inserts in each boxes + legends and RC cards... It was very fun. Nothing High end, tough. But I manage to trade almost all my base cards, 90 % of my parallels, all my RC and Legends and all of my inserts for stuff I needed. I never get so much in return for what I pulled in a box. Never.

ITG was fun too. But it is most a hit or miss product. Sure you will pull autos and GU. You can get a Jacques Plante /6 GU, but also an obscur prospect auto. I wished they were more inserts. And, like all ITG products, no parallels of base cards or RC. What it gave you is around 10 or 12 packs out of 18 by box that are only filled with bases.

    Your call!
    I collect the following:
    - Vintage (Stars and RC)
    - 2010-11 ITG Decades (Auto, GU, bases)
    - Stars from the 1980s (in modern sets)
    - Montreal Canadians Legends (bases, inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)
    - Montreal Canadiens actual players (inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)

i agree with pacadie about the some of the ITG points...i have gotten some pretty crappy autos (never had great luck with the autos) but then in the same box id pull a 2 colour gu with a seam, and a gu number...for me, its not necessarily the quality of the player that matters, its the quality of the card...by that i mean, id rather get say nice 3 or 4 colour del zotto number then say a tavares plain white gu...but thats jut my opinion

If you're looking for a fun set to do, I'd go with the OPC..... becuase it's so big. I'm and Upper Deck 1 & 2..... don't really dabble into any of those sets (picked up a few sinlges)....... so maybe my opinion shouldn't count for as much though.

    MVP and ITG

    Good evening,
I got the MVP hobby box it was a great buy and now really interested in ITG and about to buy that hobby box next. I don't think the sports card shops around me sell ITG stuff at all so it's kind of an exclusive to internet thing if you ask me.

I know here in Canada, all card shop carry ITG because Hockey is popular. Maybe in USA some don't. If you are to buy from internet. Youc can look at Enigma in hockey selling forum. He is the general manager here has a sotre and you can trust him. Also we have blowoutcards, a sponsor here that you can trust selling boxes on internet at very competitive prices. They all carry ITG product and ship in USA. It's a fun product and a good way to learn about the new player that will hit the national league or just did combine with the old timer and the great players from today. So heros and prosect say it all, it's a mix from prospect and the legends that wrote the sports of hockey. Nice set but since ITG has no licsence to produce the set, you will not see the team logo on the card. Still without the licence, they produce a great set.
