Scary ebay Feedback
So
Wife has been pouring through my paypal money like it was free :)
We have rules. If someone has under 99% feedback, she asks me to view the person and tell her yes or no.
My wife comes to me with this seller
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...:X:CEM:US:1183
Now, 1st thing (8) feedback.....scary. Then 5 negatives,SCARIER....then I notice,2 members, 5 negs, at the same time.
So i looked deeper.
Mr(8) made a purchase from snake oil seller http://myworld.ebay.com/veggieg782
Snake oil seller, selling Knock off cologne, sells Mr(8) a NASTY batch of Fake cologne. mr(8) leaves feedback saying it smells like perfume and Clorox.
Snake Oil man proceeds to BUY IT NOW an item from Mr(8) and contact him and threaten negative feedback if he does not remove his. Next day,Mr(8) answers the request for revision, revises it,then snake oil drops the NEG bomb and files a claim 24 hours, winning at night so it could not ship till the enxt day, after winning claiming stains on clothing, bad clothing etc and on TOP OF THAT...
Snake oil man uses an alternate account http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...k&myworld=true
Makes more purchases, leaves NEG BOMBS,files claims and walks off laughing.
We are all told that this is not how a customer can be treated on ebay, that we hall have a measure of protection.
We are evidently lied too.
Mr(8) takes and files a harassment claim with ebay, forwards his info, ebay can clearly see the threats and that the person is running 2 accounts .....and replies " We do not adjust feedback unless it is positive with negative comments"....
Can you say WOW ?
So,watch out for the vengeful , they can bend you over and not loose a dime.

Feedback harassment and Feedback extortion are things we are supposed to be protected from,so this guys issue scares me a bit
I recommended he contact ebay via phone, again, as to me it seems the guy making a purchase, then leaving feedback a day later, then offering to remove it if he removes his is CLEALRY feedback extortion.
he said the ebay rep quoted policy several times then terminated the call.
Makes me wonder if it was " Thes ees Bob from New Dheli...er....Chicago, How may I help you very much ?" and he got shat on to end the call quickly

Ebay feedback is a joke. I had a guy buy a lot from me and not pay so I opened a claim which was totally useless as Ebay did nothing then after I closed it I went to leave feedback and found that I only had the option to leave positive feedback which is hilarious. To think a guy can buy and not pay, avoid multiple messages and such and then to be forced ot leave positive feedback for the guy. I owuld say what I think of Ebay but we cant use thise words here. And then to top it off they have no customer service help anymore which really says somethign about what they think of sellers.

I am with you 100%
At this moment a seller is freaking out. I purchased a 5 card ichiro lot. When I got the cards, a traded ichiro,h ad a rolled side. was not real perceptable, but as we all know here, 1 mar makes a 10.00 card useless these days, so the card is no good. I dropped a PM said the card was bad, waited. 3 days, no reply, left neutral, now the guy is sending PMs,mad as hell and saying ebay never sent my message ;)
How can this go south ? He get , buy an item, leave bad feedback, file a claim and feel justified.
I will say that I hate ebay and its poor customer support and lack of support in general.

Amen, Ebay feedback is a joke. Since the stars (which now regulate how good of a seller you are) are voluntary, it seems that a lot of people don't go through the hassle - unless it's for negative reasons. So you can get 100 positive feedbacks with no stars and then one mad guy comes along and you're screwed!
I also had this happen to me. Guy bought a card and didn't pay, sent an invoice every few days until it had been 2 full weeks and I had to file a non-paying bidder claim. Finally he paid - but now he can leave me negative feedback and I have no recourse.
I am going to be especially careful over the next month as their new policies will be kicking in regarding feedback and there are sellers who won't be able to sell anymore after April 20th if Ebay is telling the truth. So I'm wondering if some of these individuals might now just fold up at that time and run off with some merchandise and/or paypal!
Nice work Ebay - bunch of morons there!

If a non-paying is filed, they are unable to leave a negative. Just a heads up. That always scared me then i actually read the constitutional sized document in the FAQ concerning it and was glad to find that out.
I had a bad issue yesterday. Had an auction at 32.00, bunch of bowman blue/gold a red and tons of xfractors refractors. Auction had a bit more than 8 hours ago. A seller contacted me and was surprised I had the exact same cards I had jsut sold him.
So,I review the sell article. I was running late for ball and had my son set up the listing. I had handed him 20 cards that I had already sold, so I canceled all the bids, went to close and of course......less than 12 hours to go. So now this nightmare has no bids and 14 watches and I call ebay who says "We willl make a notation and consider revising feedback as long as you contact your buyer at auctions end, explain to him and have him call us if he has concerns" So, at least they did not relegate me to the "Tough titty" pile like normal.
The winning bidder has a goose-egg for feedback score, which may be a plus.
It's just been rough this week with a game or a practice, per child, every day. My store and sales are suffering and now i am scrambling to do damage control all because....of those ebay members who feel there are no accidents, everything is intentional...no one is allowed to make a mistake.
Sad state of affairs
A lot of members here use Wensy,so I am tying it. I got no traffic, hits or buys,so I am more concerned they do not utilize google properly.
Have half a mind to scan every card and set up an online database at my website and sell my cards that way.
ANYTHING but eBay

Yah
Closing my store in 4 days.
Tired of pins and needles.
Customer is always right except on ebay since many will buy a card to replace a card they have and try to may you pay them for the bad one or swear they never got a package even though tracking will show it delivered OR they will whip out a microscope and dissect a card and swear it's not what they expected.
I understand some sellers pawn off junk on the unsuspecting, but everyone suffers for it and ebay could care less.
