Project 53
I hope some of you have had a chance to check out my recently completed 1957 Topps Football complete set

My next project is going to be the 1953 Topps baseball set!! I'm really excited and looking forward to putting this beautiful set together!
I thought that instead of just waiting until it was all finished and then posting it like I did with my last set, I'd post the cards as I get them so that people can follow it as I put the set together. I thought it would be be a cool idea, and I'm hoping that the SCF community will enjoy it!
I plan on taking my time with the set, but as I get new cards in, maybe once a week or so, I'll keep this thread updated so subscribe to it if you like, I'd love to hear your comments as it comes together.
I will post individual pics in the posts when I add cards, and I'll be keeping a photobucket album with the whole set updated as well, which will be here:

nope...this is the main thing I'm doin right now during the offseason football slump. Gonna get as much done as I can before football starts up again and then it'll be back to my Andre collection full time :)
picked up some more of these over the weekend too so I should have an update or two in the next few days!

Nice choice on the set...Is there any requirement to condition? I believe I have a few including a Satchel Paige

the images in the original post are pretty much the kind of condition I'm looking for. Stuff that would likely grade 5 or better for the most part.
Additionally, any card in the set that books at $300 or higher in beckett will be a graded card in the set. Looking for nothing lower than PSA6, but going to shoot for 7+ on most. If you've got some, send me some pics and I'll be glad to have a look at them and let you know. Thanks :)

3 more new ones in today, that brings my total up to 12 of these babies. Hope to have some more to post next week sometime :)
My hours have been cut back a lot at work so I'm gonna have to slow way down on buying cards but I'm still gonna try and snag one here and there if I can manage it :)
