EBay Advice
Oh boy herewego....
Buying from a seller with a feedback of 1-100%. He/she's selling a couple nice RCs so I jumped on a couple that I won for 1.04 apiece. Each item was 2.00 shipping so I emailed hours before the second item(and other items) were ending asking if he offered any combined shipping discount. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. 2.00 won't break me...
Well I don't hear back and I look back hours later and his feedback is now at 0-50% and he gets Negative from a buyer who claims he "wanted more money for an item than selling price, very poor".
Very shady...now I'm afraid to pay him because I might never get my item from someone with 50% feedback/may get dealt negative feedback which affects my 100% track record.
I know it was my own stupidity to buy from such an inexperienced seller. What course should I take? Can't I pay him in a way that puts a hold on the money until the items are received when a seller is unestablished?

You can't get negative from here..buyer can't get neg...so jsut do the transaction as long as the amount is right, if not contact ebay, they love buyer..and hate sellers..
I was talking to them..over a chat, they closed the chat window on me...cause i wasn't a buyer..and they didn't want to loose there precious time

I would just like to respectfully disagree with Max91less' comment about ebay hating sellers. The sellers, especially the high transaction ones, are there bread and butter where they get ALOT of fees. But, anyway, if they are a new seller, paypal should place a 21 day hold on the funds, or they prove they have shipped the item/items out.

I remember this happening...so I should pay the 6.08 for the two items and eBay automatically will put this 21 day hold on? If he doesn't send I can get this back?

If his feedback is that low (less than 5?), I do belive that paypal puts a hold on the funds until you leave a positive.
Also, as a buyer you can't receive negative feedback (even if you don't pay...which is another problem all of its own that ebay needs to correct), so you should be pretty safe to continue with the transaction.

Continued shadiness: He's doing the same thing to me by sending a request to cancel the transaction claiming that the card is worth 60.00 and I won it for 1.04 and he paid .55 to list it. I still have another card I'm ordering from him. Should I accept or decline the terms of the transaction?
This guy really doesn't know ™™™ he's doing, he listed it in the Trading cards -> Other section instead of the Hockey section.
Anyone experienced with this type of BS?

It's too bad that he's not making any money off a $60 card, but putting the card on Ebay was his choice. In my opinion, you have no obligation to accept his request and have every right to complete the transaction and get the card.
It would be a pretty stand-up thing for you to accept his cancellation request, but with someone pulling that kind of stunt I would just wonder how many times he'll do the same thing - probably until he gets the price he wants.

My ebay feedback is like 36 and they still hold some of the transactions funds till completed. Makes me mad when they do, but hey we all have to start somewhere.
Paypal covers your purchases anyway so I wouldnt worry at all.

...so if I deny his request he's obligated to send or get negative feedback correct? I don't know how this BS works. Just don't want it effecting my feedback.

If you won the items he is obligated to send and your obligated to buy. If he doesnt ship than you can leave him a negative aswell as get your money back. A seller cant leave a buyer negative anymore on ebay. So you wont get a negative and if he does respond with something stupid I believe ebay will retract his feedback
